Heart is an American rock band that first gained popularity in the 1970s. Their songs have been covered by a wide range of tribute acts, and their influence is still felt to this day. Led Zeppelin is one of the most successful and influential rock bands of all time. L7 is an all-female metal band, and they performed Led Zeppelin’s The Weight with Bad Brains, an all-female hard rock band. The Zepparella, a Led Zeppelin tribute act, was also on hand at the Citi Field concert. Stu Hamm, Ann’s husband, bassist and vocalist Clarence Clemons, and guitarist/vocalist Tom Moore were also on the track. Ann Wilson Of Heart Delivers Fierce Led Zeppelin Cover At Citi FieldĪnn Wilson of Heart made an impressive rendition of Led Zeppelin’s Black Dog during the band’s performance at the Citi Field in Flushing, New York on Sunday, August 4th. It provides an important historical perspective on the band as well as a valuable perspective on the disaster that claimed 36 lives. On the cover, the black-and-white photograph of the Hindenburg airship, taken by Sam Shere on May 6, 1937, is shown. Using a photograph from the 1937 Hindenburg disaster on the cover of their album ‘ Led Zeppelin II‘ is a great way to reflect the album’s early twentieth-century German themes. They also did a medley of blues songs in their live shows that included covers of “As Long As I Have You” by Garnet Mimms and “You Need Love” by Muddy Waters. Some of the songs they covered include “Babe I’m Gonna Leave You” by Anne Bredon, “I Can’t Quit You Baby” by Willie Dixon, and “Bring it on Home” by Sonny Boy Williamson II. Yes, Led Zeppelin did do covers throughout their career.
